Ghana Society for Education Technology - GSET

GSET is a non-profit globally recognized leading professional association for Ghanaian educators using technology to improve learning outcomes in Ghana. Membership includes professional learning opportunities specifically designed for educators seeking to develop their skills to become more effective at enhancing student learning. GSET members have the opportunity to participate in numerous professional learning activities such as conferences, seminars, webinars, book studies, and online communities that help them build their content knowledge and learn new strategies they can use in the classroom and share with their colleagues.
GSET as an organization also provides several other services to individuals and organizations. These services include EdTech consultancy and training, teacher professional development (TPD) certified by the National Teaching Council (NTC) of Ghana, EdTech startup incubation and accelerator programs, mobile app and programming training for all ages, technical assistance to government and non-government agencies.
By dint of hard work, visionary leadership, and dedication from the Board President, Dr. Sam Awuku, GSET got fully registered as a non-profit and was launched at the University of Ghana Cedi Conference Centre by the then Minister of Education, Hon. Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh on July 22, 2019. As of February 2022, the organization has grown its membership to over 5,500 across Ghana. Membership to the organization is voluntary for everyone with an interest in the use of technology in education.
