A teacher and his/her student
Everyone has a kind of influence they receive from wherever they go. Influence or impacts received go a long way to shape lives of people and these mostly come from the social contact centers which can be the home, church, hospital, community centers, market and the most important school here learners spend most of their time while growing.
Even at their old age, most people still find themselves engaging in learning activities either in the classroom or wherever they find themselves. In all these, there is a teacher involved. Just as life is a teacher so do schools have teachers too making sure that the students make the best out of them.
It is through this growing period and process that teachers make sure they have the necessary impacts on their students. Yes but before one can achieve that, he or she must have the passion to do whatever he is doing in that field. You cannot have impacts on people if what you are doing to bring the impact you do not love it yourself. Moving on, you should bear in mind that most of your students might be going to different stuff at home with some leaving the children in psychological trauma and others so it is dependent on you the teacher to be that friend or companion to your students to get them to confide in you and trust you. You must be their emotional support out of the home, because they spend more time with you than with their families.
One must also bear in mind that apart from the academic influence and impact, you are there to groom them for what awaits them in the world. How they come out from school either successfully or as a failure all lies on you, the teacher. Yes the parents have a part to play but you make most of the changes. Even if the parent is not doing as expected, you must give the learner a reason to press on and not be swayed by whatever may come their way. This helps them get grounded in a strong foundation before facing the world.
